Cryptocurrencies are digital (virtual) financial assets, the security of transactions with which is ensured through the use of cryptography methods. The concept of the very first virtual currency – Bitcoin – was introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. Since their inception, cryptocurrencies have rapidly gained popularity and are currently one of the most demanded after trading instruments. There are over 1,500 cryptocurrencies in the world and their number is growing steadily.

Decentralization – issue and emission are not controlled by any of the participants, and are not tied to any of the central banks. Anonymity – it is not necessary to provide the user’s personal data for transactions. Direct transactions – all transfers occur directly from user to user (P2P) without the involvement of banks or payment systems.
